Teaching
I have served as a teaching assistant for courses that focus both on research methods and substantive political
science issues, including an advanced undergraduate course that explored cultural explanations for social and
economic behavior, a graduate introductory course on econometric analysis, and a core undergraduate course on
the development and implications of American social policy. As a teaching assistant, I taught weekly self-designed
review and discussion sections, co-designed problem sets and exams, provided tutoring on quantitative methods and
writing skills for individual students, and evaluated student work. In addition, this year I am serving as a
senior thesis advisor. As a professor, I hope to apply my substantive interests and quantitative skills to
teaching courses on introductory American politics and research methods, as well as upper-level courses on immigrant
political incorporation, civic engagement, and American social policy development.
